Is citizenship by investment actually legal?

St Kitts & Nevis has operated its program since 1984, and applications are decided by the government itself, never by agents or consultancies. Only licensed local agents may submit files to these government units. We prepare your case and represent your interests, and a licensed agent of record lodges the application.

What does a second passport really cost, all-in?

More than the headline number, and anyone who tells you otherwise is hiding something. On top of the donation or investment you pay government processing fees, due diligence fees for each adult family member, passport fees, and professional fees. As a verified example: a family of four through the St Kitts & Nevis donation route pays the $250,000 contribution plus roughly $20,000 in government fees, before professional fees. You get the exact itemised figure for your family size in writing before committing to anything.

How long does it take to get a Caribbean passport?

Realistically 6 to 10 months for most programs, including the mandatory interview and government due diligence. Official brochure timelines are often shorter than reality. We quote current processing conditions per program. St Lucia, for example, is presently running a significant backlog, and we tell you that before you choose it, not after.

Will a Caribbean passport always give me visa-free Europe?

Accepted Answer

Today, yes: all our Caribbean programs currently include visa-free Schengen access for 90 days in any 180. But the EU has a suspension mechanism that explicitly targets investor-citizenship programs, and no honest advisor can guarantee that access forever. Our rule: never buy a Caribbean passport for Schengen access alone. If EU access is your main goal, a European residency or work route is usually the better answer, and we will tell you so.

Can I just buy EU citizenship?

No. No EU country sells citizenship any more; the EU Court of Justice ended the last such program (Malta) in April 2025. Every legitimate European route is residency first, citizenship later, under each country's naturalisation rules. Portugal currently requires 10 years of legal residence (7 for nationals of Portuguese-speaking countries), Greece requires 7 years of genuine residence plus a language exam, and Malta's naturalisation is discretionary. We state these clocks plainly because they are exactly where this industry tends to oversell.

I don't have $200,000+. What are my options?

Accepted Answer

Work-based residency. Portugal, Greece, Malta, and the Netherlands all offer employment and skilled-migration permits with no capital requirement, leading to permanent residence after about five years and eventually citizenship. Be aware of what this involves: a genuine job, genuinely living in the country, and a multi-year commitment. We never sell job offers, and anyone who promises you a guaranteed job abroad for a fee is someone to walk away from.

What does the work route cost, and what if my permit is refused?

Two fees. A $700 processing fee, paid only after your free consultation confirms you qualify; it covers paperwork, document preparation, and permit processing support. The main service charge of $5,700 is paid only after you arrive in your destination country, with instalment plans available. Paying the larger part after arrival is deliberate: it protects you, and it means we only succeed when you do. If your permit application is refused, your $700 processing fee is credited in full toward one re-filing within 12 months (same or alternative destination); if re-filing is not possible or you choose not to proceed, 50% is refunded. If the refusal results from an eligibility issue we failed to identify at screening, you receive a full refund. Government and third-party fees are set and retained by the authorities and are not refundable.

Will I have to give up my current citizenship?

Usually not. The Caribbean programs, Portugal, Greece, and Malta all allow dual citizenship. The main exception in our lineup is the Netherlands, which generally requires renouncing your existing nationality when naturalising, with limited exceptions. If keeping your current passport matters to you, this rules certain routes out, and we factor it into our advice from the first call.

What happens with my personal and financial information?
